| We have our last Wolf Night of the year this evening from 6:00-9:00. We are having a Luau. You should wear island inspired attire (like Mr. Jobb, who is practicing his best hula). It is $9 a person this time, BUT food and favors are included in the price! Join us. We're grilling out! The minority awards banquet was last night. We were able to honor five of our incredible students to receive recognition for their stellar academics. I included a crazy slideshow of your middle school teachers. We're weird, but fun. |

![]() I'll be back tomorrow, at least for half a day. Surgery went well; I'll be fully healed soon. Please make sure you are working hard to get your projects finished. We are running precious low on class time. Summer school recommendations went out last week. Thank you to Rhe-Anna for bringing me the world's best zucchini bread. Somehow the number of visitors to my house increased once I put a photo of it on facebook. I had to hide half a loaf in my cupboard so it wouldn't get eaten up on me. I stuck the group hug photo below, too. My students are marvelous.
![]() Well, we were starving, anyway. For some reason our lunch person never showed up. Because we were so busy with MAP testing, nobody noticed until we went to the Cafeteria to find it empty. OOPS! Olivia's mom was to the rescue with Pizza Hut. It was a delicious solution! We survived and were back on schedule with only a 15 minute delay. RCAA students know how to roll with it. The pancake breakfast was a success, as was Reading MAP testing. Mrs. Watson, our new advisor, just walked in the building to meet with students. It is exciting for a Tuesday around this place! ![]() It is already midterm! Four students won $25 iTunes gift cards by earning their way into a drawing for students who were all caught up on their work. Summer approaches quickly, as does project presentation week. We love that we can spend more time outside. Olivia did her misunderstood dog breeds presentation out in the sunshine with great success. We held our open house on Tuesday night. There were dozens of prospective students who were dazzled by our very own student guides. The staff was very proud of the way our students spoke of RCAA and how helpful/honest they were to the families that visited. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone. Don't procrastinate your course-work. Summer-school approaches quickly, too! ![]() We are in the Cafeteria at the moment and very happy to be eating lunch. A transformer was blown and we lost power for a bit today. This gave the fantastic opportunity to partake in some sunshine outside. We were concerned, however, that our pizza would not be crispy without electricity. I believe our seventh graders have a new appreciation for their waves and electromagnetic forces projects. Tomorrow is the "Birthday Party for Us." We will dance a bit, exchange white elephant gifts, and eat treats. Students: Don't forget to ran-sack the goodwill pile at your house and wrap up something fun. THEY KEYBOARDS HAVE ARRIVED! This is amazing news; we've been waiting for months. They are pretty fantastic (great quality) and we love them already. Parents should give their students a push to partake in the Keyboarding Credit we offer. Click HERE for the page!
