I'm using this video in advisory today to talk about empathy vs. sympathy. Our students are generally really good at being compassionate, caring human beings. I think it is partly because our school values time to reflect on values like this, and also because we all hold each-other accountable. You can see this modeled if you ask any student in the building how we feel about the phrase "shut-up." Just brace yourself. . . lol. . .
![]() It is already midterm! Four students won $25 iTunes gift cards by earning their way into a drawing for students who were all caught up on their work. Summer approaches quickly, as does project presentation week. We love that we can spend more time outside. Olivia did her misunderstood dog breeds presentation out in the sunshine with great success. We held our open house on Tuesday night. There were dozens of prospective students who were dazzled by our very own student guides. The staff was very proud of the way our students spoke of RCAA and how helpful/honest they were to the families that visited. Have a fantastic weekend, everyone. Don't procrastinate your course-work. Summer-school approaches quickly, too!
