We are learning non-fiction reading and writing this term in English class. Some of us miss reading a nice, relaxing novel, so we are starting a book club. This is NOT part of any class (no assignments, no homework, no obligation). The only thing asked is that you read the assigned chapters before we come together. See Ms. Palumbo so she can buy you a copy of the book! Reminder: Chapters 1-3 discussed MONDAY, MARCH 6TH at 11AM!!!**Woo Hoo! We've finished the novel! I can no speak freely about poor Piggy. **
We are in the middle of Lord of the Flies. I found this doodle on our whiteboard and was very proud of my dear, artistic student. RCAA kids are the best! Is it possible to write for FUN? As in, because you WANT to, and not because your English teacher says you have to? Yep! You bet. RCAA students have been writing for enjoyment for years. Some past students have even been published.
Check out our new page to collect these gems! If you are interested in joining our "The Giver" lit circle, please see Karen. It will be starting very soon! rcaathegiver.weebly.comDoing a book report, response, or write up for an ELA independent project? Want directions? You need GUIDELINES!
